Final Fantasy Black Mage Hat

Hey everyone, just posting a quick knit that i made for hubby, a black mage hat! He saw a post of one on 9gag and wanted one so i whipped one up!

I love knitting hats so it only took me three hours to knit the initial grey hat but adding the design took quite some time, around 4 hours. It is definitely worth it since hubs already said hes going to wear it right when he gets home
I knit a normal hat and then added on the design from songofstorms442 from deviant art http://songofstorms422.deviantart.com/art/Black-Mage-sprite-393453493. Overall a success!

Chevron Baby Blanket

Yes, it is finally done! The chevron knit baby blanket is complete and it turned out pretty awesome!
It took me about two weeks to complete working on it with an hour a day set aside to knit. The colors were picked out by my sister in law and they will match the color for her little ones nursery.

It was my first time doing a mitered decrease but once i did a couple of rows it was so fluid and natural that i could knit this while watching tv or talking. I did not block it before taking the pictures (too excited) so you will have to forgive me.

I got the pattern from this link http://espacetricot.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/chevron-baby-blanket1.pdf you work the front side of the blanket as specified and then the wrong side is all purled.
Try it out and have fun with the colors you pick! I know i want to make a full size one in the future it was so fun to knit!

Bear Hooded Cowl

Yes, it is another hat! Just kidding it is a hooded cowl. I saw this hooded cowl floating around pinterest but could not find knit instructions for it so i put my hair up and made my own! I think it turned out pretty well although working the ears to look like a bear and not a mouse took some work!
Love it!
I have another one the works and want to do a fox hat after i finish my current project (still on the chevron blanket but almost done!)

Owl hats!

I love knitting hats so i fell in love when i saw this knit cable owl hat from Culture of Crafting!
The first i made in raspberry red!
It was such a fun  knit that i made almost all the women in my family one for christmas. I also made striped hats for the men since i doubt they want to wear owls!

More of those wonderful colors! Ultimately i made about 12 of these adorable hats!
If you want to make one of these owl hats follow this link http://www.knitculture.com/our-blog/wise-old-owl-hats/   they have adult and children size patterns there so have some fun!
This is a chunk of the projects i made for christmas and those lovely owl hats are in the back. The purple has the final touches on and of course i forgot a picture of the others with their buttons, oh well!

Premie Hat

So my niece was born early and i wanted her to have a hat that actually fits her precious little head so i made one! (Sorry i only have the one picture but i made most of it in the car)

Aww isn't it cute!
I used size 2 double pointed needles and some shimmery white yarn i had laying around that turned out perfect for this situation! She hasn't been able to wear it yet but i can't wait to see it!

I'm in the process of making her a chevron pink, white, brown blanket so i will post that soon.
